and when trying to create a SAIL interface its giving "Error Evaluating UI Expression

Expression evaluation error at function a!expd_sailRuleDesigner: Error evaluating function fn!repeat : The function 'repeat' is unavailable."

PS : I've deleted some kdbs inorder to free the disk space as they were occupying in GBs but kept the latest kdbs. No previous applications are visisble wen i logged into designer and all these issues araised. what could be the problem ?

I'm seeing this error:

I am concerned that you may have deleted engine database files *.kdb that were indeed in use. You shouldn't manually delete these files, you should use the cleanup script to guarantee only old files get deleted forum.appian.com/.../Data_Maintenance.html

Since the error is complaining about invalid users I suggest:

1. You run checkengine -d -o and attach the output
2. Stop the application server, delete the application-server.log and restart the app server. Attach the new application-server.log

Please find the attached files. Do i have to create the users with the same names ?

The fact that those users are missing from Collaboration make me think that you deleted the collaboration engine dc*.kdb and now your environment is running with the out of the box one which means it is empty. Can you send me a screenshot of the following directories:

<APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\collaboration\\gw1
<APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\process\\exec\\gw1

I confirmed that you deleted the dc*.kdb that shouldn't have been deleted. The collaboration directory handles two engine Collaboration (dc*.kdb) and Collaboration Statistics (stat*.kdb). It seems that in an attempt to save disk space you manually deleted all dc*.kdb which forced Appian to re-create the engine starting from scratch with dc0.kdb. This means that you have basically deleted all rules, constants, documents, data stores and applications from your system. You will have to revert to a back-up.

I am thinking you may have done the same in <APPIAN_HOME>\\server\
otifications\\gw1where tare are also 2 engines (s*.kdb and n*.kdb)

Can i just simply add the missing kdbs from backup or do i have to replace the entire application ?

The recommended approach is to restore the full back-up. Once the environment is up and running you can no run cleanup to save disk space.

Hi Monikar , Yes you can go for the kdb replacement .. you can take the previous kdb files and modify the new version. I think this will work for you
