There are a couple different errors I see. In server-1 and server-2:

Failed to connect to server at [localhost:9300]. Check that the search server is started. If running multiple application servers, check that appian-topology.xml is properly configured with the search cluster details. The appian-topology.xml file must be distributed to each /ear/suite.ear/conf/ and /search-server/conf/ directory. See documentation for details. (APNX-1-4274-001)

Make sure you are starting the search server before starting either instance of JBoss. On server-1:

13:01:53,627 ERROR [org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol] (MSC service thread 1-7) JBWEB003043: Error initializing endpoint: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind /0.0.0.0:8080

Could you explain the use case for running two JBoss instances on the same server? Are you trying to set up clustering?

I did change the apian-topology and also configured the search server....but I noticed something that the java applet for search server comes for 1 second and then disappears which means that search-server is not starting.....can you please look at my start.conf.bat file....it is attached....

Could you attach the appian-topology?
For search server, open a command prompt window, then navigate to the search server bin folder. Run start.bat, and attach the resulting error

If the search server is starting and then shutting down it's because the appian-topology, as Aleksi suggests, is incorrect under

<APPIAN_HOME>\\search-server\\conf

Or maybe you have a ss.pid inside <APPIAN_HOME>\\search-server\\bin, if that's the case, delete it and start the search server again.

I don't have ss.pid in bin folder.....I am attaching Appian-toplogy.....

The appian-topology.xml file must be placed in both <APPIAN_HOME>/ear/suite.ear/conf and <APPIAN_HOME>/search-server/conf on all application servers. Make sure the file is present in both locations.

Also, per our documentation it is not recommended to have two or more search servers configured on the same host.

Also keep in mind the following:
"If hostnames are used instead of IP addresses, it is required that the hostname on each machine resolve to a non-lookback IP address that other machines can use to contact the host. For example, ss1.domain.tld must not resolve to 127.0.0.1 on that machine, since the search server broadcasts both the hostname and IP address, as resolved on that machine, when establishing a cluster with other nodes."

localhost is a lookback address.

although I have used hostname inside the custom.properties file...I am using ip address to reach the destination.....will that be enough or do I need to change custom.properties also....

Try using the actual server IP of the machine in appian-topology for the search server cluster, rather than localhost
