Editing the Side Menu on Records
lisak
I have a left-side menu on the Records screen that lists out "Sender", "Recipient" etc. Under each one there is a list of countries. I am unable to figure out how to edit that list. Would anyone happen to know how to access the list of values that would display in the left-side menu for Records?

1. Go to application designer 2. Search for the record type and open it (if u have it in an existing application search inside it or choose the object viewer and search with keyword) 3. Look for Filters where you can find the different filters and their options configured. Post back if you have any questions.

Thanks, Kumaraveln! When you say "Look for Filters" do you mean selecting Filters as an Object Type under the Application? I do not have Filters as an object type. Does it matter that my current version is 7.10?

Sorry if I'm not clear enough as I am responding from mobile .. What I meant as filters are not the one in application designer .. After opening the record type object (I cud not find the record type name from ur screenshot but mostly it ll be same or similar) which you have given as screenshot, you could find a section where filters will be defined.. Here filters means what you are referring as Sender & Recipient and different countries are different options which you can edit. If you can't figure out I can giv a screenshot.

What you were originally looking for is documented here -
forum.appian.com/.../Create_a_Record_Type.html
- and there's also a pretty detailed records tutorial here:
forum.appian.com/.../Records_Tutorial.html
You may also want to make that list of filters dynamic - for example, reading from a table. If so, have a read of this:
forum.appian.com/.../Expression-Based_User_Filters.html
