I am using a Post Comment to Feed Entry smart service and I am getting an error

I am using a Post Comment to Feed Entry smart service and I am getting an error that says the following:
"An error occurred while trying to post a comment or hazard to the feed (entry id: []). Details: The supplied feed entry [] is not accessible"
I am passing in an entryID of a post message and all the comments should be appearing beneath that post of entryID value: x-##.
I checked the permissions and read the other posts. When I go to that process and wait about a minute and restart that node it proceeds without an error. Doesn't that mean the permissions are ok? Any ideas?

By any chance, could it be that project.eventId is an integer? Event IDs are text.

The feed entry ID is text, I.e. x-4961. And it saves it correctly and if I go back to the process that errors and restart that node it continues without and error and puts the comment on the correct feed.

Who is the post comment node assigned to? It sounds like the node assignee does not have access to the feed entry, but when you restart it manually then your user has the permission to comment on it

lakshmim, thank you for that comment that is helpful. So the user is in a PD_Product Development group and that group is an initiator of that workflow that creates the Feed Entry. She then is passed to a subprocess, adds more information and then in that process the same user creates the comment on the same feed she created. The assignment on the Post System event to feed in the first process is "Run as whoever started the process". And that is where the Feed Entry ID is created.

The post comment node in the subprocess is assigned to the same as the create entry "Run as whoever started the process".

Who is the author of the comment? And did you say previously that if you hard-code the feed entry Id then it works the first time? Sorry to ask more questions, but it's hard to tell what's going wrong.

lakshmim, there is nothing in the Author variable on the node. It seems that only this 1 user is having this issue. I created another user with the exact same permissions as the user getting the error. Did the same process and did not get an error.

Okay, it looks like you have narrowed the problem down enough now to move on, although I still wish we had found a solution to why that user isn't working. Let me know if there's anything further I might be able to help with!

That's my problem, I don't know what the issue is. It's only 1 user and she has the same access as the other users who aren't getting the error.

I'd say that it's possible the user got corrupted in the Appian instance, but it's hard to really blame it on that (I haven't personally seen a user get corrupted before). I'm running into the end of what I can troubleshoot without looking at the system. I would look at that user profile again, is the new user that did not return an error in the same user type, same groups, etc. as the one that returned an error?
