To expose Appian API to the outside world you create a expression function plugin and use it in a web API. All available shared components contain their source code. That should help you get started.

Thanks Stefan - So, I have to write new custom plugin to make use of this methods from Appian API which are not already available as functions. Is there any other simple way to achieve this requirement because we runs on cloud server and not having much access to the server for plugin development. Can we directly do plugin development on cloud servers by accessing these libraries? I guess not possible!

If the only possible way of implementing your requirements is using Appian API and you have to expose that, then I think there is no other solution. Developent of plugins is done in Eclipse and you need a local installation for testing.
Out of curiosity, what do you want to do?
