By using SFTP smart service.iam getting the following error, pls clarify??
There is a problem with task “Send File Over SFTP” in the process “SFTP”. Error establishing SFTP connection. Confirm your hostname, username and password. See application server log for more details...

Hello,
Can you ensure that you are connecting to an SFTP server rather than an FTP server? Each uses a different port to connect on and the SFTP smart service plugin will not be able to connect to an FTP server. I would also recommend double checking the server hostname, username, and password and verifying that you are able to connect to this server successfully using those values from another machine.
If you require connection to an FTP server, I recommend trying the Remote Transfer Smart Services plugin available under the Shared Components record here on Appian Forum.

The server you wish to transfer to must be hosting a service that allows for file transfer. This can be SFTP, FTP, or SCP. Once you have the server you wish to send files to configured and allowing connections and transfers using one of those protocols, you can use the Remote Transfer Smart Services component to configure your process to send the file to this server. Due to security concerns and other circumstances that can vary by customer, you should contact the administrator of the server you wish to send these files to in order to have this server configured for file transfers.

This is not an Appian side configuration but a configuration that needs to be made on the server you wish to transfer files to. The configuration and setup can vary depending on OS, security practices in your company or organization, and a variety of other factors. You may with to search Google, Stack Overflow, or other information sources for how to configure your sever for file sharing using your chosen protocol and adhering to your server configuration and standards.
