Hello,
I’m evaluating the Appian tool for a customer, and one of the criteria I’m looking at is the ability to import BPMN, as well as BI.
Tried to install the BPMN plugin from the AppMarket - but all I get is "This app is available to download for Appian Customers, Partners, and Employees. Please make sure to self-associate from your profile."
1. What does that mean?
or: "Thank you for your interest! Please confirm that you would like to be contacted about this app?" and I choose Yes.
A couple weeks passed by and nothing happened.
2. any idea?

Are you an official customer or partner already? If not, it wont be working.->What's the reason you try to download this plugin?
What do you try to evaluate?you are invited to exchange but appian is not "tool". It's a platform for application development based on BPMN. You can find my contact details on my profile :)
Since it's a platform for development based on BPMN, I expect it to have BPMN import out of the box, which I could not find.
In support they told me to ask here.I have found one plugin for BPMN: https://community.appian.com/b/appmarket/posts/appian-bpmn-2-0-importer
I tried to contact the developer of the plugin for purchase by clicking the button, but there was no response for two weeks.
The idea of importing BPMN is being discussed since Appian exists. The answer is always: "Forget it!". The reason is that a business oriented BPMN model will not directly work as an automated process. So you would have to modify it at lot after import.
The next reason is, that a technical model in Appian is typically optimized towards other requirements. These are: Short lived, Memory optimized and include a lot more technical artefacts than your business model.
