Hi all,
We have a process that is triggered by the email. Now, when I have set up an auto-forward to the email address of the process model, this process is not getting triggered. I tested two scenarios:
(1) The email address of the process model was added in a distributed list (DL). Now, when that DL is sent an email directly, the process gets initiated successfully. But, if I set up a rule in my mail address such that "any email coming from xyz@abc.com, forward it to DL", the process doesn't get initiated.
(2) I set up a rule in my mailbox such that, "any email coming from xyz@abc.com, forward it to <processmodel email>". And I send an email to my mailbox from xyz@abc.com. That doesn't initiate the process as well.
Any idea what could be the issue here?
P.S: We are on 17.1 Cloud set up.
ThanksAkshar.

HI Akshar,
Did you find any solution for this scenario?
Not really, we kinda worked around.
Could you please suggest any other workaround as I am also facing the same issue.
I am having the same problem? The rule in outlook is working, but for some reason, Appian doesn't appear to be able to handle a FWD email. Is this really still an issue? Seems like this would be easy to fix. Is there a workaround?
You may want to start a new thread with your specific configuration, as this one is referring to a 5 year-old Appian version.
I have at least one process configured to start on receipt of emails, and it handles "FW" emails no problem. That's the only way mine gets emails, they come to my box, and I forward them to the configured email address.
If you review the Sending Emails to a Process and Mail Server Setup documentation and still have an issue, I would definitely suggest a new thread, and/or we may direct to reach out to Appian support.
