Process
Tasks disappearing and reappearing after sometime

I have seen an unusual issue when clicking on a task shows the message that the task is not available ... message and the task disappears.
If I look in the process model the task is issued to only one person and it shows the status as Assigned.
It has happened with me yesterday and one of our testers today.
In my case the task reappeared suddenly after refreshing the tasks tab 4-5 times where as in the tester's case refreshing did not worked and the task only showed up again after he logged out and logged back in.
Any idea what the issue might be. We are on Appian Cloud 16.1.
Thanks

Hi Arsh,
Could you prove some more details on the process model in question -
Is it part of a chained node flow?
Does it have a timer configured?
What is the average length of time between getting this error for some task before it then reappears? (You mentioned refreshing the page 4-6 times and singing back in, so it seems like the timeframe is in the span of a couple minutes?)

There might be some exception or error in the SAIL code of the task. Could you recheck once again

Hi Sorry for the late reply.
Actually this happened with two different tasks in different process models.
there is no timer. The tasks were present initially than they disappeared for about 20-30 min and only became visible in case of the tester after logging out and logging back in.
This hasn't happened again so far.
Thanks

Tasks disappears when someone clicks on 'Edit Process' in the designer mode which changes the task status to paused and the task disappears from task least.
Logging out and logging in breaks that lock and the task status change.
To check this, check the process history of the process instance, you will observe the name and date timestamp of this change.

Yes, the task disappears on editing the process model but I am not aware of anybody editing that instance of the model. when the tasks disappeared. But this seems to be the only valid reason.
Thanks
