Overview

The xAI Connected System plugin connects xAI with the Appian platform, giving users access to the suite of Grok Models for effective machine learning and AI capabilities. Using standard API authentication, this plugin links to the user's xAI account to securely access the available set of services and functionality. The connector enables chat completion and tokenization features that help users obtain insight into their text and image data. In addition, it provides specific metadata on the available models supported by xAI.

Key Features & Functionality

• Chat Completion to generate text completions with the currently available Grok models, supporting both the OpenAI and Anthropic API prompt formats:
  • grok-2-vision-1212, grok-2-1212, grok-beta, grok-vision-beta
• Tokenization to convert text data into individual words/subwords, in a format that is understood and leveraged by machine learning models
• Provide metadata and additional information regarding the suite of available models the xAI API exposes
