word document that is generated before this migration not working

Recently we have changed our Production Server from one machine to another machine. Its was done successfully and Appian, Jboss, Search Server are started with out any issues.
But after that we are facing one weird issue, Issue is word document that is generated before this migration using the "MS Word 2007 Doc from Template" smart service was not able to open now. The documents that is generated using the same smart service after the migration are opening with out any issues.
We can't find any notable error in the server log too. Error we are getting when opening the document is attached below.
Our Server details are,
Appian Version: 7.11
Jboss Version: JBoss EAP 6.4
Database: SQL Server 2012
Java Version: JDK 1.7

Do you still have access to the previous server? If so, can you try opening the Word files from there? Is there any chance that the migration caused files to be corrupted?

Are the server details you mentioned correct? Appian 7.11 requires Java 1.8

Expand the details to see if it is an XML error. If it is, you unzip the docx by changing the file extension to zip and edit the file to remove the special character, and rename the extension back to docx. You can use an XML validator to check the XML structure. In my experience, it is usually an issue in the document.xml file.

Dears many thanks for your participations
- The java version 1.8 we by mistake wrote 1.7
- we tried to open the file as .zip but no success , it seems the generated .docx files are totally damaged.
- we retransferred the word files from the previous server and replace them to the new server.
now the server is working fine. it might be a migration issue but we are not sure about the root cause of the issue and why only happened for the only word generated files.

What approach did you use to re-transfer the files? Did you upload them through the Appian UI?

With that in mind it seems that there may have been an issue with the original data migration to the new server.
