Does anyone have problem on login to Appian after update Hotfix package C for Appian 16.3?
Before update all users are able to login to Appian, but after update the hotfix, all users are not able to login again.
Info:
- Appian v 16.3
- Jboss 6.4
- Windows
- Build info is right
Thanks before for the advises.

Hi Heriz,
have you removed cookies in web.xml because it might be one of the reason for unable to login to the appian.

Hi Heriz,
Previously I faced these kind of issue because of not removing cookies so I thought it might be because of that.
Is it possible to share the logs which you are getting while trying to login to appian. So that we can get some better idea of what causing the issue.

Are you using SSO? eg SAML or LDAP? Please share an except of the logs showing a User failing to log in.

Are you able to attach an excerpt of the log showing where a User cannot log in (remove any sensitive information)?

I just tried installing hotfix C again. The same issue occured. There is no Error message entered in the log when the login fails. When jboss starts up it says it started fine and had no errors. I had a coworker attempt to log in and they had the same issue.
Additional steps I tried:
1. Stopped JBoss
2. Deleted:
<JBoss home>/standalone/tmp
<JBoss home>/standalone/data
3. Restarted JBoss
4. Cleared the cache on my computer before trying again.
5. The issue still occurred
Are there steps that are missing from the Hotfix Installation instructions?

Hi all, after researching and we find out the answer from rajasekharp is right. When we copy hotfix to APPIAN_HOME, the web.xml is replaced (APPIAN_HOME\\ear\\suite.ear\\web.war\\WEB-INF\\web.xml). So if previous we commented out the line :
<cookie-config>
<http-only>true</http-only>
<secure>true</secure>
</cookie-config>
<tracking-mode>COOKIE</tracking-mode>
We need comment out or remove these lines. This works in our environment, and now we can login with the latest hotfix.
Hope this helps.
