Hello! I am new to Appian and I'm still figuring things out. It would really help me to be able to speak with someone who is looking at the same screen as me (you know, walking me through various processes). When I call Appian Support, they aren't very helpful. They usually just direct me to the Appian tech support email, and I've contacted them via that email address, but they never respond. Is there any way to speak with someone knowledgeable at Appian to get some help? Thanks

Hi Benjamin
Have you been on an Appian Training Course? If not, I'd recommend the 5-Day Designer Course in the first instance.
Then there is a wealth of E-Learning resources in the Community site, specifically the Designer Track.
Actually to get technical help we have resources like Community - where users can ask questions/clarify their doubts and practitioners can help each other.
If you are a beginner and want to learn about Appian in technical aspect, you can watch videos in Appian Academy , having basic to advanced level video tutorials, and also go through documentations , specially tutorials present in documentation site. These resources are very well curated and will be a great help in understanding Appian.
Hope this helps.
Hi, Stewart. Yes, I just returned from that training a little less than two weeks ago. I have reviewed the online courses, but most are not specific to the issue I am currently working on.
Thank you, Harsha.
I'll continue to review the online resources, but I would also appreciate your thoughts on the filter question. Thank you.
Appian Support will help with product issues, but they aren't going to be able to help you learn how to build things in Appian. Working through online training is really helpful upfront. If you have done that and are looking for more, then signing up for a classroom based training course is the way to go. Instructors are there to help you learn and answer questions during classroom training.

Is there any specific issue which you want help with? If yes you can post your query here and someone will be there to support. Sharing same screen while working may not be a very secure way due to data protection and other security aspects. I will also recommend not to copy paste any code which you are working as is and should mask OR use dummy references.
You can also go through various tutorials and other academy resources available online.
Hello. Thank you. I have posted the question and here is the link: https://community.appian.com/discussions/f/general/14854/creating-filters/66459#66459. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Read through it and as Stewart Burchell mentioned while supporting there are outstanding queries to it. For me it looks like you need to have proper mapping done between list of applicants in line with the status, lmi and structure type (may be a database table). Once you have that mapping in place, you can retrieve the list of applicants by querying it passing the values of Status, LMI and StructureType using appropriate condition (OPERATOR) which will give you a subset.
Hello. I found some Appian videos and they suggest using a Record Type to filter the data. I created a new user filter titled "Status." I have a lot of options for status, however. See below. Does this look correct? Is this what you were referring to? Thank you
