I am running 7.4 and I tried to add the plug-in "Portal to SAIL Plug-in" and it gives me this error:
(ServerService Thread Pool -- 61) com.atlassian.plugin.PluginException: com.appiancorp.type.config.pojo.PojoTypeImportException: Could not create types for [class com.appiancorp.ps.sail.type.PortalReportDataSubset]. Cause: An error occurred while trying to save the type information to the primary data source. No types have been imported. Cause: Type definitions could not be found in the primary data source for the following type ids: 289 (APNX-1-4166-003)
Could you help me?
Thanks...

How are you deploying the plugin? Can you confirm that there are no issues with the primary data source without deploying the plugin? Please let me know how many tables you have in your primary data base.

I am deploying the plug-in by uploading it in the plug-in directory, stopping and starting JBoss. No issues on primary DB without plug-in. I have 36 tables, 95 indexes and 634 constraints.

Please note that plugins are hot deploy and do not require a restart of JBoss. Try dropping the plugin into the _admin/plugins folder again and let me know if you see a message like:
13:41:10,123 INFO [stdout] (Plugin Hot Deploy) 2014-02-14 13:41:10,123 [Plugin Hot Deploy] INFO com.appiancorp.plugins.LoggingPluginEventListener - Successfully installed Plug-in 'Portal to SAIL' (P
ortal2SAIL) version 1.2.3.

I deleted it and the log shows "Successfully un-installed Plug-in 'Portal to SAIL' (Portal2SAIL) version 1.2.3."

With hot deploy I get this error:"2014-02-14 15:08:48,580 [Plugin Hot Deploy] ERROR com.appiancorp.plugins.LoggingPluginEventListener - Failed to enable Plug-in 'Portal to SAIL' (Portal2SAIL) version 1.2.3: 'Could not create types for [class com.appiancorp.ps.sail.type.PortalReportDataSubset]. Are you using MySQL and did you do a clean install of 7.4 (vs. an upgrade)?

For MySQL, we saw this same issue with a clean install where all the rows were not inserted into the dt_model table. This should be done automatically when you first start JBoss and there should be a few hundred rows in the table. That table contains the data type definitions so if rows are missing then you'll get these kind of errors. We ended up switching to SQL Server and did not see this issue. I would recommend opening a support ticket with Appian to investigate.

How many rows are in your dt_model table? Did you do a clean install, or migrate? What version of Appian are you using?
