One of our users doesn't want to receive the "This task was assigned to you..." notification.
Is there an easy way for a user to configure their own email notifications? If not is there something we can do at the process model level?
We are using the cloud version.

Hi Nickh647,
I am not sure but I think you need to do some server configuration.
Cannot restrict this email notification from Process Model.

@nickh647 you can manage notifications from 'Edit Alerts settings' option under alerts.
but Appian doesn't provide any out of box solution to disable alerts from a particular process model or set of users from process level.

The "Portal Utilities" plugin allows you to manipulate alert settings via a process model.

This allows only to enable/disable email notifications as a whole but no fine grained settings.

The plug-in mentioned above "Portal Utilities" allows you to disable these alerts for a particular user or list of users. It offers the same granularity as the base product in the sense that it lets you select what particular alerts to disable.
The only non-granular part of this plug-in is that it applies to all alerts for the particular type you're disabling for this particular user no matter their origin. For instance, disabling "New Task Assigned to You and Others" for user X will prevent her from receiving emails of this type when a task is assigned to her within ANY process from any model.

Hi Eduardo, We also have the similar issue, and the thing is we are adding the user from Admin Action in Tempo , there we are using This Edit Alert Settings SS. But still sometimes the users are able to get the Emails and some Users are not getting, could you please let me know where I need to debug the issue and what might be the problem for the alerts to that user still going.

Are you running the plug-in for a particular group where this user is a member or for the particular user?

When that happens (the fact that he still gets the email) how do you fix it? Is this happening for all users you create?

No this is happening for some set of users only, Ok Let me explain you one scenario, Lets a Say User a is created in our Env, using an Admin PM , where after creating a user we are using the Edit Alert Settings For User SS where the parameters are
Alert: New Task Assigned to Me
Disable: True
Media: Email
User:pv!userCreated
Once this node is completed we are trying to add the user a into respected Groups which are related to his access (like we have 4 applications in 1 server so we need to restrict them to show only the specified application). After this we are assigning this User a one Task, lets say TaskDisplayName is : Task 123456,Then a Mail is received by the User where New Task: Task 123456 and body of the Mail contains the priority and the task link, which the user a doesn't want it. Some of the users are not getting it , is there any way to figure this out.
