There are three levels of credentials available for Appian Developers. You can enroll in any exam at any time. However, higher level exams also contain questions from preceding tests, so we recommend you complete them sequentially. .

The Level 1 Credential verifies that participants have a basic understanding of application building in the Appian environment including design, develop, and maintain apps according to best practices. This multiple-choice exam is available from Academy Online and covers concepts introduced in Appian Developer training as well as topics in the latest release. Passing this exam awards access to Appian A-Scores.
Topics align with Appian Developer curriculum and may also include questions on the latest Appian release.
Once you start the exam, you have 60 minutes to complete.
The Level 2 Credential exam qualifies a developer's advanced knowledge of Appian concepts and tools as well as their knowledge of how to deliver scalable solutions that abide by best practices. This multiple-choice exam is available from Academy Online and covers concepts introduced in Advanced Appian Developer training as well as topics in the latest release.
Topics align with the Advanced Developer curriculum and may also include topics covered in the Appian Developer curriculum as well as features in the latest Appian release.

The Level 3 Credential is a two-part exam consisting of a multiple-choice test and an interview with one of our Appian Architects. The Level 3 credential evaluates an individual's knowledge of the platform and experience leading a project on Appian.
The Level 3 Credential consists of 2 parts: Part 1: 35 multiple choice questions Part 2: A live interview with an Appian Architect to review your Appian project experience.
