The new Appian Community launches August 3, followed by Appian Academy on August 7. Overview
The application allows for user and group management from the front end by selected users. This enables use cases where not end user features are determined by their organizational/departmental groups and/or their title. Now business user managers can create/deactivate users, as well as add/remove them from appropriate groups. Additionally it allows users to see the groups they belong to and other members of the group.
The application adheres to group security, it only makes the designer features available on a dedicated Appian Site.
Key Features & Functionality
NOTE: People Functions, Personalization Utilities, and Excel Tools plug-ins need to be installed prior to importing the application.
You need to unzip the downloaded zip file, review the properties file and import that extracted zip
it says "The specified file does not contain a valid package and cannot be imported. (APNX-1-4154-000)"

The compatibility section should say 17.2+, there is no reason why it would not work on the latest version of Appian.
