Hi Alok,
I have a requirement to generate dynamic PDF from apian form data.Form data is storing at DB.
So I want to use create pdf from template smart service and generate the PDF as per the requirement.
My query is how to generate the pdf template ?
Can you assist in this.
Thanks
Soujanya
Here are some options
1. Out of the box - use the PDF Doc from Template. Get a PDF an in Adobe you can Prepare the form to add fields that will be scanned and can be populated through Appian
2. Plugin - https://community.appian.com/b/appmarket/posts/dynamic-document-generator You can create a docx (word doc) or html template with the ### markers that Appian can scan and populate
3. Plugin - https://community.appian.com/b/appmarket/posts/pdf-tools You can use a PDF and in Adobe, Prepare the form to add the fields, then flatten the document so that it can not be editedHope one of these works for you!
Hi,
I was trying to use the PDF Tools plugin. Downloaded the jar, but was not able to find a straight forward document where this is explained how to set it up. Can you please point me to some doc which has steps to use this plugin? My use case is to read the contents of a PDF.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Looks like the documentation was lost at some point. Here it is. I will get it attached to the AppMarket.

The documentation has been added to the AppMarket listing and will be included in the download.
Hello I can't see the document it shows "Access Denied", do you know if there is anonther url?
I concur with the previous comment (attn: Sanchita Gupta ) -- the PDF tools link to the App Market is showing an Access Denied error, searching PDF tools in the app market now returns no matches, and it currently no longer appears in the Admin Console plug-ins deployment dialog (i.e. when searching "PDF").
Hello Steven, do you know if the PDF Tools plugin exists? Because I can't find it in App Market and the link in your attachment doesn't work.
I'd received an email last night to say that the PDF tools plug in is under review and has been removed from the AppMarket. This makes me wonder if there are issues with the Plug In and if we should stop using it ?!

Hi paulc919, guadalupej0001, The bug with PDF Tools has been fixed and it is available for download from the AppMarket. It will be available from the admin console after the next sync, which happens twice per day.https://community.appian.com/b/appmarket/posts/pdf-tools
Great, thanks for the update - for the sake of judging whether we need to upgrade it in all of our environments, will there be any sort of summary about what the bugfix was or related to?
Hi
The dev team removed the dependency on the itextpdf library that was used by the smart service CreateUnprotectedCopyPDF.java class
Cool, thanks for the info.
