I am exploring different ways to make digital workflows more efficient, especially when a process involves both Appian and external online tools.Sometimes a workflow may involve collecting information, processing files or media, and then saving the results for later use. I have also been researching simple online tools such as SanpTikk.io for saving TikTok videos when offline access is needed.My question is about how others approach these external tools within Appian workflows.Do you usually connect external services through APIs, handle them outside Appian, or use another approach when there is no direct integration available?I would be interested in hearing how experienced Appian developers handle this kind of workflow while keeping the process simple and reliable.

I like the Designer Appian Dev Agent to double check my implementation ideas, but a minor annoyance is that for a given project it needs to reload every past conversation which can take a while. Maybe there are logs or cookies per project somewhere that can be removed?  If I select ‘New chat’, then leave and return, it loads all past conversations again.I feel like I might be missing something as we received 26.6 a few months ago and this was a new feature in that.

Hi , We are working with email data where the email body can contain around 46,000 characters. In Microsoft SQL Server, the complete email body is stored and displayed correctly within a single row.However, when we export the query results to a CSV file, some email bodies are getting split across multiple lines in the CSV output. This appears to happen only for certain emails containing large amounts of text, line breaks, or special formatting.Has anyone encountered a similar issue when exporting large text fields from SQL Server?Is this expected CSV behaviour due to embedded line breaks? Are there any recommended approaches to preserve the email body as a single field during export? Has anyone faced related challenges when importing such CSV data into Appian?Any insights or best practices would be appreciated.Thanks!

We have Appian on-premise and we have a requirement to create a page where external users can access it (users are not Appian Users) and Appian Portals are the best to achieve it. However, being On-premise, the portals are disabled and we are not able to enable the portals. Any suggestions or alternatives to achieve the requirement.

Hi,  We have a requirement to migrate approximately 18 million records from an external system into an Appian Cloud database.We are currently considering the following approaches: Export data from the source system and import it directly into the Appian Cloud database. However, we noticed there appears to be a file size limitation (around 2 MB per import file), which may make this approach challenging for such a large volume of data. Use an Appian Process Model with the "Import CSV to Database" Smart Service to load the data in batches. I would appreciate guidance from anyone who has handled a similar large-scale migration:Are there any practical limitations or performance considerations when using the Import CSV to Database Smart Service for very large datasets? Is there a recommended approach for handling data volumes of this size in Appian Cloud? What is the best way to implement logging and audit tracking so that we can monitor successful and failed records during the migration p

My approach is to first convert the document to a Base64 string and then pass that Base64 value to the HTML templateHowever, the image is not rendering in the received email. The Base64 string is getting generated successfully, but the image is still not displayed.

I have a csv string which i am getting it from blueprism through integration. i need to perform some calculation based on this value, i need to iterate this string. but i am unable to iterate its taking as only one string, i want to iterate for each line in this string. "ABC,ABC,2,06:00:00,18:00:00,0.5,3 XYZ,XYZ,3,06:00:00,18:00:00,0.5,3" please any suggestions on this.

While we are deploying package from one environment to another, we are facing the below error. An error occurred during data store verification. Cause: java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: begin 1, end 0, length 1 (APNX-1-4071-014) Has anyone seen this before or any clues on the fix.

Hello, I am working on an automation process where I use Appian RPA to login to a website and download an excel file (XLS format).My initial plan was to use “Import Excel to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin) to import the data directly into the required table. Unfortunately, this is not working as this smart service only works on XLSX and not XLS.  I then tried converting XLS to CSV and then use “Import CSV to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin). But even here the file type allowed in XLSX.  Finally, since I have Appian RPA in the scene, I tried opening the excel using “Open Workbook” operation and use “Save Workbook As” operation to convert it into an XLSX file. But this was only changing the name of the file and not the type.Can anyone point me in the direction that I should be taking in Appian to get the data from the XLS file into the database table? Regards,Deepak

We have tried implementing google reCaptcha in our portal,The google recaptcha connection is successful,We have used verifyRecaptcha and tested , it doesn't tally with the scores which we provide in the conditions on success or error,   We tried to find the score value by creating a table and writing the fv!score to the db through start process on success of verifyRecaptcha.   Is there any way to find the score values, Could anyone help to get the recaptcha working in appian portal

 Hi all,During ongoing development, external application contents were accidentally added into a main application container using the add application contents option, significantly inflating the object count with foreign components and shared utilities.Before proceeding with cleanup, the goal is to confirm whether filtering by foreign prefixes and selecting "Remove from Application" solely detaches the container tag without altering published rules, impacting runtime execution for dependent models, or interfering with active changes in the environment.Note that there isn't a direct "Remove Application from Application" option available to undo this action in bulk. Any guidance on the safest workflow to prune these bulk-associated objects would be appreciated.Thanks!
