We have requirement to automate Regression suit with end to end functionality testing of workflow.What could be the possibility with On premise version without having any Appian provided AI features etc.  

Hello, I am working on an automation process where I use Appian RPA to login to a website and download an excel file (XLS format).My initial plan was to use “Import Excel to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin) to import the data directly into the required table. Unfortunately, this is not working as this smart service only works on XLSX and not XLS.  I then tried converting XLS to CSV and then use “Import CSV to Database” smart service (Excel Tools plugin). But even here the file type allowed in XLSX.  Finally, since I have Appian RPA in the scene, I tried opening the excel using “Open Workbook” operation and use “Save Workbook As” operation to convert it into an XLSX file. But this was only changing the name of the file and not the type.Can anyone point me in the direction that I should be taking in Appian to get the data from the XLS file into the database table? Regards,Deepak

Hi,We have changed the default log in page to access  appian via an idpfor accounts that are not set up as saml users I can login viahttps://<serverdomainname>/suite/portal/login.jspThis gets me to tempo.Is there a way i can get directly to https://<serverdomainname>/suite/design/monitoring/process-activity after logging in ? Thanks Tim   

We have tried implementing google reCaptcha in our portal,The google recaptcha connection is successful,We have used verifyRecaptcha and tested , it doesn't tally with the scores which we provide in the conditions on success or error,   We tried to find the score value by creating a table and writing the fv!score to the db through start process on success of verifyRecaptcha.   Is there any way to find the score values, Could anyone help to get the recaptcha working in appian portal

 Hi all,During ongoing development, external application contents were accidentally added into a main application container using the add application contents option, significantly inflating the object count with foreign components and shared utilities.Before proceeding with cleanup, the goal is to confirm whether filtering by foreign prefixes and selecting "Remove from Application" solely detaches the container tag without altering published rules, impacting runtime execution for dependent models, or interfering with active changes in the environment.Note that there isn't a direct "Remove Application from Application" option available to undo this action in bulk. Any guidance on the safest workflow to prune these bulk-associated objects would be appreciated.Thanks!  

Please advise , how do we export a Rich text Components in to PDF formate I am using Docx From Dynamic Template and Pdf from Doc options , using this I can able to print it in  PDF Formate however rich text components it is not supporting i tried to use the text options that too not displaying the information in text , part of the text going outside the document itself , Please advise 

Hi Appian Community, wanted to see if anyone has this setup of being an Appian Cloud customer and has email server setup with Microsoft 365 cloud SMTP relay, specifically for outbound emails from Appian → External Recipients?I am able to receive outbound emails from the Appian platform with my organization’s internal email addresses. The problem is when testing by sending to external email addresses (both business email addresses, tested by sending to @microsoft.com and personal email addresses, tested by sending to @gmail.com and @hotmail.com). They failed with 2 different error messages from the STDout log: Error 1 (Attempt to send to external business emails): 451 4.4.62 Mail sent to the wrong Office 365 region. ATTR35. sites have urls like this one:https://<subdomain>.<domain>/suite/sites/<SiteName> subdomains:https://<subdomain>.<domain>/<PortalName> We want them to be resolve them with the SiteName as the subdomainhttps://<SiteporPortalName>.<domain> Is it possible somehow to create a redirect url on your side (appian cloud) so that specific sites/portal can be resolved with unique urls. I am aware that we would have to create a dns delegation for that but the problem is that we cannot create delegations with url paths (i.e. /suite/sites/<SiteName>) and we do not seem to have a make that redirection.

Hi everyone, We're planning to upgrade our production environment to Appian 26.6 and currently we are on 25.3 version, wanted to check with the community before proceeding. For those who have already upgraded to 26.6, have you encountered any significant issues, regressions, or unexpected behavior after the upgrade?   Our application is a fairly large enterprise solution with extensive use of Record Types, Process Models, Connected Systems, integrations, and custom plug-ins, so we're keen to understand if there are any unexpected issues faced due to upgrade.   Any feedback or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Hi All, Our users have been experiencing this intermittent issue quite frequently. The problem occurs randomly while users are actively working on a task or viewing a summary screen, and there doesn't appear to be any consistent pattern or specific steps to reproduce it. As this is occurring in the production environment and we do not have direct access, we have been unable to capture a network HAR file for further analysis and not able to reproduce in lower environments. Has anyone encountered a similar issue before? Could this be related to the browser (we are using Microsoft Edge), a network-related problem, or something else? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a csv string which i am getting it from blueprism through integration. i need to perform some calculation based on this value, i need to iterate this string. but i am unable to iterate its taking as only one string, i want to iterate for each line in this string. "ABC,ABC,2,06:00:00,18:00:00,0.5,3 XYZ,XYZ,3,06:00:00,18:00:00,0.5,3" please any suggestions on this.

Are there any limitations for a!fileupload() component in Appian,I've tried uploading a zip folder using this, but I am getting the following error : Could not upload file "abc.zip". Reason: Files without extensions are not permitted on this system.but the file is of .zip extension, I have checked in admin console as well , and zip is enabled in admin console.

hi All! I completed the ACD101: Appian Certified Associate Developer exam on 05/16/2026. The exam status in the ProctorU portal shows “Fulfilled” ,”but my certification/result is still not visible in my Appian account and not get any score report. Also, the exam auto-submitted before I manually clicked the final submit button and I got no email for my score or any pop up to show my score while auto submitted. I already contacted certifications@appian.com and support@appian.com but have not received a response yet since saturday. Has anyone faced a similar issue before? How long does it usually take for the certification/result to appear?or what step i need to take next? Thank you.

These days I have seen developers moving to using database tasks rather than a traditional User Input Task approach. What are the possible advantages of using DB tasks in terms of reducing memory footprint, creating short lived processes, performance, concurrency and auditing? Any way whether a process task report or using DB task, we'll be creating tasks to save task IDs, then how it is different and advantageous in comparison to process task report approach?

Hi Team, We have a dashboard where we display Test Cases in a read-only grid. The grid is built using the recordData() function, and we have enabled the “Export to Excel” option provided out-of-the-box. Users are able to click this option and successfully download the Excel file. As part of our document cleanup process, we are deleting Excel documents generated within the application. Currently, we are able to identify and delete documents that are created via our custom export functionality. However, we have a question regarding the Excel files generated through the Record Type’s inbuilt “Export to Excel” feature: Are these exported Excel files stored anywhere in Appian (e.g., in Appian Documents or temporary storage)? If yes, is there a way to identify and delete them as part of our cleanup process? Or are these files generated on-the-fly and not persisted in Appian? Any clarification or guidance on how Appian handles these export files would be very

I am showing  few fields from the DSE in a grid and i set a advanced search to filter from the result shown in the grid , now after i set the filter i have to click on the export to excel and it should generate the excel document . the export should have only the fields that i show in the grid and not all the DSE, i have the filtered result to pass , but the function we have support only to export from DSE and not the custom. i tried with PM . but it get stored in Appian folder which does not suffice . can any one suggest how we can export the custom grid with the filtered list as export to excel or csv . Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with transferring my Appian certifications, Academy Online achievements, and badges from my current organization account to my personal account. I have already reached out to multiple teams, including Appian Technical Support, Appian Community, Academy Online support, and the Certifications team. I was informed that the request would be resolved within two working days. However, it has been longer than that, and I have not received any proper response or update despite multiple follow-ups. Has anyone worked with Microsoft Publisher (.PUB) files in Appian? Our requirement is to allow users to upload .pub files and extract specific data from them for further processing. AI Capabilities are not enabled.Is there any Appian-native approach, plugin or integration that supports reading/extracting content from .pub files? or is conversion to another format (ex PDF) generally required before processing.
