Distributed Appian Topology in AWS

Does anyone have an AWS component diagram for a distributed engine topology with HA failover? 

I am thinking conceptually how many EC2, SSD, VPC's, IP's, etc. 

Can the DB be a managed DB service or does it need to be a full DB installed on an EC2? 

What portions can go in S3 or must it all be in SSD?
