Error 401 Unauthorized

Question

Hi, 
We are configuring SAML SSO in our client environment but after adding all the required information and saving the configuration I get this error when trying to access using SAML:

I have seen in the documentation that it could be related to the Authentication group, but the user for this test is a direct member of the Authentication group for the Idp, so it should work fine. Has anyone had this issue before and were able to solve it?

User tries to access site or application in Environment that they are not authorized to do.
I would recommend to check below action items.

1) User should be part of particular group of application which user is trying to access it.
2) Verify that the attributes used for user identification and authorization in Appian match the attributes provided by the IdP.
