Install Appian on an external Tomcat server

Hello there,

A client has asked if it is possible to install Appian on a Tomcat server that they provide. It is a question that I have heard a few times already. I think it is not possible. At least the installation process always installs Tomcat and I have not found documentation to use an external Tomcat server.

Does anyone know if it is possible that the customer provides and managesTomcat for the installation?
