Using QR code for visitors when App is SSO enabled for staff

We created a QR code to our workplace safety app hoping visitors and vendors could access the app that way but it doesn't take them to our configured app.  It takes them to a sign on screen that requires user name and password.   Anyone have any experience using QR codes to get right to their company's app?
