Permanent Resolution

Appian is working on a platform level change to update the existing time zones. Due to external library dependencies that also require this change, a platform update for the impacted time zones will not be available before November 1st, 2026.

Workaround

End-users and administrators in these provinces and territories can select equivalent time zones which share the same UTC offset.

User-Level Adjustments: End-users in these time zones will need to change their Time Zone in user settings to reflect these changes:

  • End-users in British Columbia will need to change their time zones to America/Dawson_Creek.
  • End-users in Alberta/Northwest Territories will need to change their time zones to America/Regina.
  • End-users in Manitoba will need to change their time zones to America/Atikokan.

  • Please see the Appian documentation regarding this setting for users.

Environment Adjustments: Environment administrators in these time zones can change their Primary Time Zone to reflect these changes:

  • Environments in British Columbia can change their time zones to America/Dawson_Creek.
  • Environments in Alberta/Northwest Territories can change their time zones to America/Regina.
  • Environments in Manitoba can change their time zones to America/Atikokan.

  • Please see the Appian Documentation regarding this setting for the environment.
