Question

I cannot see the Board tab when I generate the plan with Composer.

Hello community.

I am currently working on the "Develop with AI: Get Started with Appian Composer" sub-course within the "Appian AI" course at the Appian Academy. As part of the hands-on exercise, I am instructed to create a request plan from the "Plan" tab and generate the application using Composer. Composer successfully creates all the objects, but when I access the "Build" section, I do not see the "Board" tab. I am using version 26.6 and am the application administrator. Does anyone know how to handle this? I need the "Board" tab to proceed with the exercise, as it opens the chat with Copilot AI, allowing me to interact with it.

This could be due to the limited functionality available for Composer in your Appian environment.

After generating the application plan, are you able to see the below tabs in the Plan View?

I'm experiencing the same issue, and the tabs available in the Plan View do not match to those shown in the official documentation. Therefore, it is possible that the Board tab on Build View is also unavailable due to limited feature availability.

According to Appian 26.6 documentation, the Board tab becomes available only after you click START BUILDING from the Composer Plan view.

Make sure you have generated the application plan and clicked START BUILDING to transition to the Build view. Verify that your Appian environment supports the required Composer capabilities. These features are included in Appian's Advanced and Premium capability tiers.
