KB-1087 "The navigation item "" is invalid" and/or "The navigation item "undefined" is invalid" errors appear after adding a filter set to a process report in 7.11

Symptoms

When adding a filter set to a process report in Appian 7.11, either or both of the following errors may appear:

The navigation item "" is invalid.

The navigation item "undefined" is invalid.

Functionality is not affected by this error, and after hitting OK, users are brought to the desired window.

Cause

This issue has been addressed via AN-64970 in the following hotfixes/versions:

• Appian 7.11 Hotfix Package B
• Appian 16.1

Action

Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.
