KB-1383 "Task Cannot Be Submitted - You are not the owner of the task" error thrown when accessing a task via a direct link

Symptoms
When accessing a task from a direct link (copying/pasting the URL in a new window, opening it via an e-mail, etc.), the following error is thrown when trying to use any of the buttons:
Task Cannot Be Submitted
You are not the owner of the task
Cause
This issue has been resolved via AN-86487 in the following Appian hotfixes/versions:
- Appian 17.1 Hotfix Package E
- Appian 17.2 Hotfix Package B
- Appian 17.3
Action
Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the most recent version of Appian.
Workaround
From the malfunctioning task, click on Tasks at the top of Tempo and reopen the task from there.

This article applies to Appian 17.1 and 17.2.
