Hello everyone! I am having an issue with a write to records. "Escribir Cliente" is not updating the records accordingly. But if I execute it manually it works, or even if I put a input task after it works just fine. I also created variables in the ouput of "Escribir Cliente" to store the Error Occured and Error values to validate that there is not any errors. I even tried to save the variable on itslef again used to update that is why there is "Set Cliente" and "Set Id Cliente". Any ideas of what is this happening? Thank you so much in advance!
I want to create a custom record field that converts a string timestamp field to date or datetime just to use it in user filters. I chose the real-time option but it seems something is wrong with that because when I tried with sync-time evaluation it works. Hi everyone, I have a simple process model with a single node configured as Write Records Smart Service. This process model is used to update the status of each record in a process variable which stores a list of multiple ABC Client records. The ABC Client Record has the following fields: clientid, name, status. In the corresponding Event History record I have a field for comments where I want to have the following information: "Status of " & recordType!ABC Client.fields.name & " was changed to " & recordType!ABC Client.fields.status but I don't know how to configure it properly. When I try to capture the event history for each of the records in the list separately, I encounter an issue with the standalone Write Events feature of the Write Records smart service. I can not find a way to individually reference items in the records list being updated (i.e. just like we do in the a!forEach function when
Hello, I have added new columns in the views and updated CDT and published data store. However, when trying to update the record type I'm getting below error. Note: The updated fields are reflecting in edit list after resetting the list but getting error in preview. Expression evaluation error at function a!gridField [line 51]: An error occurred because the record types source is currently unavailable, or the query reached a timeout or memory limit.
We would like to use Smart Service to delete records from the DSE (Data Store Entity) and create records according to the input received from the screen.In this case, will the Delete and Write transactions be separated?For example, if Write after Delete fails for some reason, I would like the Delete transaction to rollback. Please let me know if there is a way to execute Delete and Write in the same transaction on Smart Service.
Not able to create a new Record Type from scratch in Community Edition I am unable to create a new Record Type with a new database table i.e. not getting "I want to start from scratch" option. I created a view in SQL to calculate the age of a person. MariaDB is formating the age field as a bigint(21). I am connecting an CDT to this view and I need to know what the columnDefinition would be for a big integer. I tried INT and BIGINT and that doesn't work. @Column(name="Age", columnDefinition="INT") I even tried to cast the calculated field as an integer in the SQL statement, but that did not work either? Hello, I'm facing the following task - I need to be able to generate a unique sample from a table/view. A couple of notes: This is a large table, about 25 million rows This table will need to be filtered first, then sampled To filter, this table will need to join on other tables, which is why I'd like select the random sample from a view instead of the table The random sample would need to pull from a relatively uniform/normal distribution (basically not skewed) This random sample will need to pull from live data - there cannot be a 1 day delay or anything This table is a CDT in appian, due to point 1 DB system is Oracle I don't just need a list of random numbers, but I need a sample of random PK IDs These are the things I've tried/investigated: SAMPLE() I'm not able to get it to sample on a View, it throws some sort of primary key error. People have also reported that SAMPLE pulls from skewed distribution of data and I'm hoping for something more u
While i am practicing, i created a record type and when i am trying to generate record event types , i am getting an error " You must have edit access to at least one of the applications this record type is in to generate event record types ". I read a similar content and checked the following, but there were no problems. ・Record Type is added to any Application. ・There are not Missing Precedents. I can generate record event types about 8 days ago, but I can't do it 5 days ago. I have a read-only grid that pulls the data from record type . I am trying to enhance the feature to add an update link to the page to enter new rows and thats needs to be updated in the Table . Is there a way to achieve this without a CDT ? (or) Is there a way to update a table from the interface without a CDT?

I'm trying to invoke the a!save() function when an interface loads. Is there any way to save a value into a rule input of an interface without any user interaction? I've noticed this statement on a forum somewhere "Rule Inputs and local variables in an Appian Interface can only be updated as a direct consequence of a user interaction.". What I'm wondering about is if there is any way to mock user interaction to force a save into the ruleinput? My value is saved in the localVariable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Jan
