Learning path optional IT project

Hello, I’m new to Appian building and process. I do have extensive knowledge from a business analyst view and have worked within an actual build and gathered criteria. I’m looking over the optional IT project in the learning path and although I’ve gone through the courses, I am completely lost on where to start. They do have the example AIS build but no step by step guides. Any suggestions on how to approach this? I feel like I didn’t learn anything, which I know is untrue, but the level of “lost” is real! I would love to practice with this build but not sure how to go about it. I learn best by seeing and hands on or watch and do as I go. Thank you in advance.
