In Appian 7.2, I had saved (not published) a process model, only to find the next day that the changes had not been saved, and when I loaded up the process model, it reverts back to the last published version of the process which is not what I want. Has anyone had any experiences with this?...

It could be someone ran Impact Analysis on this server. Remember that Impact Analysis (when the user hits "Update") publishes the most recently PUBLISHED version, not the draft, which can override unpublished changes.
