Anyway to disable Browser data loss popup when clicking a!safelink on form?

I'm having an issue where the browser data loss popup shows up when I click on a a!safelink from a form. The link is configured to open a mailto window in a new tab, so no data loss should be occurring. I'm wondering if there is a way to disable this popup somehow, my assumption is no, but I wanted to check here and see if anyone had any suggestions.

There is no way to somehow configure this. It is an implicit behaviour of the interface.

this might be leftover behavior from when a!safeLink() only had a single behavior (same tab); if you can confirm the behavior happens even in basic cases (i.e. a safelink linking to a generic external URL with "new_tab" behavior), you could open a support case with Appian to address it.  We don't have any control of the behavior from the Design side, as noted by Stefan, but I believe the behavior is governed within Appian in a way that the appian base product has control over.
