Cucumber and Fitnese only for Appian on-premise installations?

Hello,

I would like to know whether Cucumber/Fitnesse testing only refers to "on premise Appian Installations" or are they usable as well for "Appian cloud installations".

Do we need an specific set-up (eclipse IDE, local servers, etc...) to set up the environments?.

Sorry but it's not clear to me reading Cucumber and Fitnesse sections on the playbook.
