am encountering the following issue when attempting to start the Appian server as a local instance for plugin development:

Error when running engine scripts

ERROR com.appian.komodo.engine.KLicenseVerifier - Error starting K: null

As per the possible solutions mentioned in the KB article,

I have already:

  • Requested and applied a new long team license to my local instance.
  • Verified that there have been no changes in the following:
    • The operating system.
    • The CPU count.
    • The Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). Ensured that no more than one hostname resolves to the local network IP of the machine where the license is installed.

What about the memory? Is it the same as well?

Yes

Without more information, all I can say is that the most common error is the FQDN and memory in my experience.

Otherwise. perhaps it is in the wrong location.

Hi [mention:891ac2574f084bc99b414da8d1fdce66:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] ,

ERROR com.appian.komodo.engine.KLicenseVerifier - Error starting K: null

Above error describes the license isn;t valid.

Please double check the following things again in custom.properties:

1. FQDN

2. Q output : https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/24.4/Requesting_and_Installing_a_license.html

Above mentioned must be correct, in order to install permanent license correctly.

refer the following image and the link posted above for getting q output:

I have double-checked everything, and it looks perfect and error-free.
