    I'm not quite sure I understand the context here - is it a test question or something?  If not, I'd need a bit more info about the particular use case, because this has never come up as an issue on any dev team i've ever been on.

    AFAIK [a] Creating test case is the most appropriate way to answer the question.

    [b] What is a testing group?

    [c] You can first create an adhoc test case before saving it as a test case but it is not required.

    [d] Same as [c]. Can be done but not required.
