Get customize excel download through record

Hi,

In the latest version of Appian, there is an option to get the excel by just clicking the checkbox in the user interface section in record type ("Show export to excel button").
This generates the default template of excel. But I have a requirement in which i have to give my own customized excel template. How is it possible?

Can anyone please help?

You can disable the default excel download option.  Then create a process model which generates customized excel using excel generation smart services. Provide the process model as record action where users can click & generate their customized excel & download it. Make sure to use activity chaining inside that PM & in the interface you can make  the excel generated downloadable
