how to import external file into appian database

I have an external excel file containing data. I need to import it in appian data base in one of the table. How can I achieve this functionality ? is there any smart service available to import the external file directly into database ?

    I have gone through almost all the related stuffs but all the smart services mentioned are not available in my process modeler. could you please let me know the way to solve this ?

    As I mentioned, you will need to deploy some of the plugins in admin console.
