I cannot invite my friend to join my shared workspace. Why?

I want to invite my friend to join my shared workspace, but I failed.

I got a message.

"You seem to already be in a shared workspace. If you wish to join this cohort, you must leave your current workspace before accepting this invite."

But my friend is not in any workspace. He is new  member.  Please tell me how to deal with it?

What did you mean by Shared Workspace?

Thanks for your response.

When I register ti appian I will select shared workspace or personal workspace. I selected shared workspace.

I want to add user to my shared wordspace to study together.

When I invited him, I got message "You seem to already be in a shared workspace. If you wish to join this cohort, you must leave your current workspace before accepting this invite.".

How can I solve it?
