Is it possible to have a custom URI scheme link in Appian (e.g. ms-word:...)

Hello we have a document editing software that we wanted to embed into Appian, however at the time we could not because it only allowed links of the form https://blah

We need to put in a link of the form ms-word://blah or ms-excel://blah etc etc

Is that still not possible?
