Issue with Appian Process Model Not Triggering Properly

Hi everyone,

I’m running into an issue with one of my process models in Appian. The process is supposed to trigger automatically based on a record event, but sometimes it just doesn’t start. There are no errors in the logs, and when I manually start the process, it works perfectly.

I’ve already checked the record event settings, confirmed the security permissions, and verified that the process model is published and active. Could this be related to caching, background job scheduling, or something else I might be overlooking?

Thanks!

It is new to me that we can start a process based on a record event. Can you explain in detail how you configure this and what you expect it to do?

The only way (that I know of) that you can trigger a process on a Record Event is to start a process after writing your Record (and Record Event) in a process.
