Local Variables in Case Management Intake Form

I am creating a dynamic intake form in case management studio where the visibility of few fields depends on values of previous fields. Without using local variables, I am facing cache issue when the values/selections are changed in the previous fields . In the interface I don't see any submit or save button to pass no the values from local variable to rule inputs. Please suggest how to handle this situation.
