Logout via button press

We would like to enable users to logout form an application screen by pressing a custom button. possible ?

Maybe one option might be to create a link which points to the URL "/suite/logout" like in this post

Not out of the box. What is the goal or requirement?

The standard of our organization GUI is having a logout button on the main screen, no need to

go into the profile submenu, avoid extra training.
