Things that can seriously affect the scalability of the application

Hello everyone, I’d like to gather insights on any coding, design, or infrastructure issues that could significantly impact the scalability of the on-premise application.

Again, this is such a huge topic ...

A few things network architecture, servers, operations, operating system, databases, Appian setup, Appian config, IT and System architecture, integrations, existing systems ...

On an extremely high level, bad design decisions on all possible levels are the most common issue. Using the wrong tool to solve a specific problem.

I think when you try to search for performance related issues here you will probably find a few indications.

I'm not sure if you'll really get useful answers if you ask such unspecific questions.

Can you help us to understand what you are looking for?

Thanks for the response, Basically, what I want to understand is the common issues or challenges to scalability, with regard to on-premise applications. This includes coding practices, architectural design choices, and/or infrastructure setups that might inhibit performance in case the application scales. If there are areas that you particularly emphasize, or common problems encountered through your experience, I really would appreciate any input. Again, thank you for the feedback.
