Unable to get file extension while retrieving from Documentum

He all,

we are able to upload files with extensions(docx,xlsx) to documentum.
but we are facing issues, while retrieving from Documentum to Appian, we are not able to get the extension, instead saving as type "file".
is anyone facing this issue and let me know the leads.
