Hello, I am encountering a recurring validation issue while attempting to install version 24.2 of the local Appian application on my computer. Despite thorough checks, the problem persists during the configuration validation process.

I have verified the following:

  • SQL Database and Driver: MySQL 8.0 with InnoDB engine, connector: mysql-connector-java-5.1.49-bin.
  • System Variables: Correctly definded.
  • Configuration Files: The custom.properties and tomcatResources files are set up identically to a successful 23.4 installation on my computer (with the folder name changed to avoid conflicts), so they should be correct.
  • Licenses: The k3 and k4 licenses are valid.

As i said, I keep getting the same issue while trying to validate the configuration:

Is there a log available where I can review the reasons for the validation failure?

Thank you.

Do you have any other error messages?

Not that I have been able to see, everything seems to run fine, except for the validation.

Did you try creating a new env from scratch?

Hi [mention:ae0a87a6250e4c59af81ce7632e1cf5d:e9ed411860ed4f2ba0265705b8793d05] ,

you can check the vlogs in configure.log file.

Hope this helps you!!!

I had reviewed that log previously, however, it did not provide almost any detail, so it was not particularly helpful. Nonetheless, I have managed to get it running successfully now.
Thank you for your assistance!

Then some of the configurations you've done may be incorrect also those doesn't impact running of Appian services, one or the other way, it will pose an issue anytime, better to solve it before anything happens.
