Validations on clicking cancel button

Hi,

I have a cancel button where i had kept submit as true and validate as false but still it is showing to fill mandatory fields.

I am trying this in live task instance not in interface editor.

Can someone pls help on this?

    Do you use any validation groups? Can you share the code snippet of that button?

    You should try this. Make sure the required fields are appropriately labeled and that your code doesn't contain any validation criteria that contradict one another.
