KB-1127 How to determine the execution engine in which a process lives

Purpose

This article outlines steps to view a report that shows the execution engine a process is running on. This will help in troubleshooting issues with processes or execution engines.

Instructions

1. Open the All Processes report or any custom process report in /designer.
2. Click Edit > Data > New Data.
3. Set Display Name as Exec ID or a name of your choosing.
4. Set Definition using the Expression Editor window:
   1. Click Data > Process Metrics > Process Execution Engine Id.
   2. Click Save and Close.
5. Set formatting as Number.
6. Save the report.

The ID of the execution engine should be displayed next to the process instance.
