KB-1381 "bad end of central directory record" error thrown during Appian installation

Symptoms

While executing the Appian installer, the following error is thrown:

Cause

The Appian installer download is incomplete.

Action

1. Delete the existing contents of the directory you attempted to install Appian to.
2. Download the Appian installer again.
3. Reinstall Appian in that directory.
