Complete an assigned task directly from a link in the task email

Hi All,

Request your inputs / thoughts regarding this requirement we have.

Consider a task has been assigned to a user, that user should be able to complete the task (Approve/Reject)  by clicking on a link or button on the task email he receives.

Is this possible, if not what would be the best work around.

Hi,

the requirement you are defining has a really wide context. Please specify with more detail.

But for sure you could do it.

The main steps to follow are the next ones regarding your requirement:

  • Create a process model which will generate the task
  • In the process model go the assignment tab in the user input task node and assign it to the user/user group and check the checkbox to notify them via email. Then they would receive a link to the task in the email.

Apologies, if I was not clear in my post. The assignee's action should be captured from the email itself.

Okay, got it, actually I think it is not possible with Appian OOTB features. Let's see if anyone else could help on this. You will probably need to think in a workaround
