Database Sync over ODBC

We are attempting to create an SSIS package for our on-premise MSSQL Database to create a connection to the Appian Cloud Maria DB. Is it possible to create an ODBC connection to facilitate this integration? Unfortunately, we cannot utilize the built in Connected System for integrating MSSQL due to our VPN being outbound only.
