how to request a Grant Token from a Connected System?

I Have an integration that is calling an outside system and when I try to call the connexted System I need to get a GRANT TOKEN, I know I can display a link to get this token, but is there another way to get this token, perhaps on a process model? or just calling it via a rule

Depends on what that link is doing. If this is user based SSO then that will not work.

Looking at your other questions, it seems like you have some rather complicated authentication going on. Maybe you elaborate on that so we get a better understanding.

    I have an interface that is being consumed by a Power BI website. The user logs in to Power Bi and then has access to Appian. Currently I am using a connected system for the DB and when the user goes to the Appian side the Authentication keeps failing and I am force to displayed the Authorization Link
